Dear 8th graders,I have been thinking of you guys a lot this week, especially since this was the week I was supposed to come back. Despite what you may think, it is not easy for me to be away from you guys. I wanted to wish you good luck as the ELA test nears.Serious things aside,I don't know if you remember that at the beginning of the year I told you that one of my goals for the year is to read more young adult literature books so I could recommend them to you. Anyway, I wanted to share with you something that I have been reading with Liem at home--it's probably not his reading level, hahaha, but he seems to enjoy when I read out loud to him, something I think he got used to when he was listening from inside my belly and I was reading to you. It's a book called The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancy. It's a very creepy book about this doctor who studies monsters. It's narrated from the point of view of his assistant and it's written like a journal. They find a monster who uses human bodies as a host to grow. It's a whole series, and I think you guys would be into it.Anyway, I miss you guys. I hope you're taking care of yourselves and each other.Ms. Le
